McDonalds McPick 2 for $5 Menu.

McDonald’s is launching a new deal  on Monday Feb. 29.

This is happening only a few months after McDonald’s launched its “McPick 2 for $2” deal.

The deal is meant to replace the 2 for $2 deal, which was being tested as a new “Value Menu”.

It’s unclear, if the new offer is another short term meal deal, or a long term menu.

McDonald’s new McPick 2 for $5 menu means that you can choose 2 of these for $5:

• Big Mac
• 10-piece Chicken McNuggets
• Filet-O-Fish
• Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
• Fries.

Why is McDonalds introducing the 2 for 5$ menu?

In January, McDonalds started offering the McPick 2 for $2 menu, that included the McDouble, McChicken, Small Fry and Mozzarella sticks.

We are guessing that McDonalds have seen the writing on the wall: The 2 for 2$ is simply not making them enough money. Too many customers are choosing the cheap option of a quick meal for $2, instead of opting for a larger menu deal. The company wants people to spend at least $5 per visit.

However, the  2-for-$5 deal makes McDonald’s promo deal seem quite expensive compared to Burger King current five-items-for-$4 deal, and Wendy’s 4-for-$4 deal.

So, probably McDonalds will lose some customers among the “price is everything” value seekers, in the short term. We assume that McDonalds are fine with that.

They are calculating making a larger profit on those people, who do stay and opt for larger premium items, rather than try to cater to the budget deal chasers at any cost. Note that the 2 for $5 menu does not include any drinks and a large number of customers will probably add a soft drink, when ordering.

Chilis 2 for 20 Menu.

The 2 for $20 Dinner for Two menu at Chili’s is an incredible deal. It has recently been updated, so now the prices is 2 items for 22$.  Still not bad. This popular meal deal will net you 1 appetizer (choose from 5) and 2 full entrees for only $22.

Basically, 2 adults can eat out at Chilis and return home fully satiated for just $22.

However, please note that the $22 does not include drinks and tax.

Chili’s has recently updated their 2 for $22 menu for 2016 and they have added Onion Rings as an eligible starter and the Half rack if Ribs to the entrees menu. A classic sirloin at 6 oz is also included. You can upgrade to a 10 oz sirloin steak for $4 more.

IHOP is currently running an IHOP All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes Promotion from the 4th of January and until Valentines Day, the 14th of February.

The deal is valid anytime, at participating restaurants. This deal is for Dine-In only, for 1 person, per order. However, you might be able to get away with getting All-You-Can-Eat pancakes for the whole tabole, if you don’t overdo it.

Which restaurant chain can legitimately call itself the largest in America?

The list below shows the top-grossing nationwide restaurants chains in the US.
There are a few caveats: A few hotel chains and convenience store have been included, as their large restaurant and food product revenue qualifies them for the list.

Also, it is important to distinguish between revenue and number of locations. Subway actually overtook McDonalds in 2011, if you count just the number of locations. Subway now has 27,058 outlets in the U.S. (44000  worldwide), which outstrips McDonalds’s paltry 14,339 U.S. restaurants (36.000 worldwide). McDonalds is still number 1, if you look solely at revenue numbers, however.

Popeyes’ chicken sandwich has already gotten cult status and is the biggest fast food news story of 2019. A war of word broke out between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A, and with both McDonald’s and Wendy’s restaurants trying to get in on the hype store.

1.5 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup corn starch
1.5 tablespoons onion powder
1.5 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1.5 tablespoons cayenne pepper
1.5 tablespoons paprika
1.5 tablespoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons fine sea salt
2 teaspoons ground pepper

Spicy Mayo and Buns.

3/4 cup mayo (Duke’s preferred)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons Louisiana hot sauce
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 Brioche buns
Kosher dill pickle slices

The 5 largest restaurant chains in the worlds: McDonalds looses its 1^st Place.

Even though fast food chains face a lot of critique by health experts, the fast food industry is still growing. Especially in the US, fast food is as popular as ever.

Analysts forecast that the revenue of the entire fast food industry will climb from 191 billion US $ in 2013 to 210 billion US $ in 2015 the US alone.

However, while restaurant owners such as McDonalds are fighting the first saturation tendencies on the western market, the boom has only just begun in emerging countries such as India and China. All this is reason enough to have a closer look at the industry.

5. Pizza Hut (Restaurants: 15.605)

With regard to the number of restaurants owned by Pizza Hut, it is placing the fast food chain almost at eye-level with Burger King (restaurants: 14.372). Other than Burger King, Pizza Hut specialized in selling pizza. The fast food chain was originally founded in Wichita/Kansas in 1958 and now operates from its headquarters in Dallas.

Today, Pizza Hut owns more than 15.000 branches in more than 100 countries world-wide with more than 70 branches in Germany alone. Just like Kentucks Fried Chicken and Taco Bell (KFC), Pizza Hut is owned by the YUM! Brands enterprise which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

4. Kentucky Fried Chicken (Restaurants: 19.420)

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) specialized in selling chicken dishes. The company was founded in 1930 by Harland D. Sanders and since then it prepares chicken dishes according to the original recipe by Sanders on sight. In 1952, the franchise model followed that earns Sanders 5 Cents of licensing fees for every sold chicken.

During the following decades, Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) expanded world-wide and today owns more than 19.000 fast food restaurants in 120 countries.

A decreasing number of customers within the last couple of years, however, led to the development of a new concept that is supposed to be the turning point. McDonalds is planning to reduce its menu offer while new McDonalds CEO Steve Easterbrook is modernising the burger company. On top of that, several hundreds of McDonalds restaurants will be closing their doors.

Since 2011, Subway is leading the list of the largest restaurant chains world-wide. In contrast to McDonalds, Subway focuses not on burgers but on sandwiches, salads and wraps that are freshly prepared in front of the customer. The first Subway restaurant was founded in the US in 1965 by Fred De Luca and Peter Buck.

Today, the fast food chain with its headquarters in Milford/Connecticut manages more than 42.000 restaurants in over 100 countries with more than 400.000 employees and is preparing 265.000 sandwiches per hour according to company data.

Especially in Germany, Subway has been expanding within the last couple of years to now own 600 fast food restaurants mainly managed by franchise partners.

New Burger King Specials:

On Wednesday the 14th of September, Burger King unleashes their new follow-up to their successful Mac n’ Cheetos item (which basically was deep-fried macaroni and cheese, covered in crumbled Cheetos).

The new fries will be called “Cheetos Chicken Fries”. The fries are made from white meat chicken, but will be covered in a flavored “dust”, that includes mashed up Cheetos. Delicious or nauseating, depending on your taste.

One order of Cheetos Chicken Fries will have around 280 calories and will cost you $2.89 for a nine-piece order.

This adds further to the revamped Burger King menu, after Burger King recently unveiled their new “Whopperito,” The Whopperito is a burger-burrito fusion that include ground beef, tomatoes, onions and pickles in a flour tortilla.

The ‘Egg-Normous Breakfast Burrito’ has also recently been intoduced to the Burger King Breakfast Menu.

New menu items is not the only way, that Burger King is trying to boost their sales this autumn.

Sonic now has Corn Dogs for just 50 cents on weekend evenings.

At the same time Sonic is running at 50% on chicken wings special.
