The KFC Menu.

KFC has a  wide variety of items on their menu these days, not just chicken combos. The company is famous for their Family Meals and Family Sized chicken buckets, but you can now also order a variety of  bean and salad sides. The prices are very reasonable and for the price-conscious KFC offers a 5$ Fillup value menu.

What is KFC?

KFC  was originally named Kentucky Fried Chicken. The chain specializes in fried chicken fast food and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky,USA.

KFC is now the world’s second largest restaurant chain after McDonald’s with more than 18,875 outlets in 118 countries. The company is owned by Yum! Brands, who also owns Pizza Hut and Taco Bell. KFC was founded by Harland Sanders in Utah in 1952.  Harland shrewedly branded himself as “Colonel Sanders” and his picture is still used in KFC advertising, though he sold the company to a group of investors in 1964. KFC was one of the very first American fast food  restaurant chains that expanded outside the US. KFC had sales of $23 billion in 2013.

The KFC Menu’s biggest competitors in the chicken fast food market are: the Popeyes Menu, Buffalo Wild Wings Menu and the Chick-Fil-A Menu.

  3. I went to KFC in Medford, OR and I ordered a 10 piece meal w/ an extra side. It came to $42 and change. I told them they were crazy and canceled my order. I went to Ray’s food place in Phoenix, OR and got an 8 pc. w/ 3 sides for $13 and change. The sides are bigger than KFC as well. Never going to another KFC unless they lower the prices. The meal tasted better than KFC too.

  4. Did not get all the food , spent $22 on dinner for the family. Got ready to eat a no biscuits . KFC sucks

  5. I recently visited the KFC in Hendersonville, NC location. Upon opening the 8 piece box I was amazed how small the chicken pieces were. My initial thought was is this rabbit? Very disappointed and also the price was too high. I will not return until changes made.

  6. Dissatisfied custermer says:

What happened to the fries. You used to be able to get fries with your chicken. Goes a lot better than mashed potatoes.

  7. Lisa Turner says:

Well, I was surprised when I went to KFC in Franklin, Virginia, that the prices listed here were way lower than the prices on their menu. The 8-piece chicken only listed here for $14.99 was $17.99 at the Franklin, Virginia KFC. I didn’t buy it, but went to Food Lion and bought their chicken for $7.99 instead. Guess it doesn’t do any good to list the prices if the stores don’t use the same prices. I won’t be going there for a very long time, if ever.

  15. Karen Grimmett says:

My husband & I love your chicken and biscuits! We get the Wednesday Special. On the menu it is shows 3 pieces of chicken, 2 thighs & 1 leg. If you want what is pictured, then you better ask! If you dine in you usually get what is pictured. If you go through the drive thru then check your order! Otherwise you will be disappointed when you take home 3 legs, 2 legs & a thigh…The meals cost so much, its better to be happy, when you get home!

  17. Misty Smith says:

Bought 16 pc. it said on the website it was 36.99 but I got charged $44. They said prices had changed.

  19. When will you bring back the honey bbq wings. They were so good!

  20. I bought my last piece of KFC chicken in Hammond la. After paying $16.00 for an 8 piece and receiving all dark meat. Their menu doesn’t state if you have a choice. You would assume you would get mixed pieces unless stated otherwise. I have called three KFC locations in my area and they either don’t answer or their phone is disconnected. I think their food is very good, but they need to look at several locations to fix these problems.

    1. Also went to Hammond location. And like u figured 8pc meal would be 2 of. Each breast, leg. Thigh, wing got 8 total ALL LEGS AND WINGS

  21. I love KFC chicken but the chicken don’t love me.
I live in Euclid Ohio and every time I eat KFC chicken I get sick.
I agree about the prices being way to high. I just go by chicken from the store and make it myself and still come out cheaper than going to KFC.

    1. Anonymous says:

      It’s the oil they use

  22. So today I go to the Wadsworth KFC to try this Nashville Hot chicken that everyone has been talking about, only be disappointed. I love KFC, I even worked there for a couple years. Sadly, today will be the last day I eat there. I was charged $30 for (2) 6 strip Nashville hot meals with two small sides and no drinks! Not only did I not get the correct sides, but that pricing is outrageous! KFC you have got to come up with a better pricing system… I am seriously disappointed. I’m sorry for yet another rant, but get it together KFC! I love your food, but this pricing and incorrect packing of my orders has got to come to an end! -very upset customer. 🙁

  23. I like KFC chicken, but the prices have gotten unreasonable. Will only go for a coupon special now. Nothing “special” about $20 for an 8 piece with tons of starch. I know it’s all about the YUM share price, but KFC is pricing itself out of reach for much of middle America.

    1. I agree, their prices are a little too high for most people. We can only afford to eat there when there are coupons. That is not very often, which is sad because I love their food. I really believe, that if places would drop their prices even just a little more, then people would go there. They could do it once a week just to see how much more , that they get, then decide if it is worth it to lower the prices. My son used to work at a KFC in Ohio and every night they threw away so much food it was unbelievable, not to mention wasteful. They claimed that they could not give it away for fear that someone would get sick and sue them, which is nuts.

  24. Maxine Rendulic says:

I miss the Twisters! They were great for lunch! Also, I think that the prices for the chicken is a little high! I know that many family would love to eat KFC but, the prices are just too high! Even with coupons!

  25. Carrie Spires says:

I’m 58 yrs old and KFC has always been in my top 2 favorite chicken on any given day. The most memorable KFC meal or meal period was in 1984 on the way to Alaska took us 10 days . There was 4 of us we had not eaten a hot meal since we left Jax. Fl. Except for a pizza if u count that as a meal On day 10 we were down to our last 20 dollars and saw a KFC 50 miles from our destination. That was without a doubt the best food we had ever eaten in our lives. So anytime I see KFC there’s nothing but good memories.Best chicken in the world.

  26. I go to KFC in Orange and I get the best service. They always honor my coupons.

KFC’s $20 Family Fill Up will net you a cool 8 pieces of chicken, two large orders of mashed potatoes, large gravys, 1 large coleslaw, and 4 biscuits for $20.

Additionally, KFC also offers a $25 Family Fill Up, which is basically the same as above, plus Large Popcorn Nuggets and 4 Chocolate Chip Cookies. Not a bad deal at all.

  29. I wish salads were offered. So many times I wanted a piece of chicken with a salad but no luck. The cole slaw is too sweet for my taste. Just a garden salad would make my day!

    1. KFC has the best Cole Slaw in the world!

  30. S. Davison says:

I’m no longer interested in KFC meal deals!!!!! Recent confusion on a standard meal for chicken, mashed potatoes. Cole slaw and a biscuit made me cancel the meal at he window!!!!!!!!! It used to be simple, but now it requires waiting 15 minutes at the drive-thru while the customer trys to read a nine foot long menu. I don’t need cookies and if I want a drink I’ll order one!!!!!! BYE BYE KFC!

I love all of the food you serve and have enjoyed it for so many years maybe when you first opened I am 84 years old and was married to my husband for 63 years, but lost him at Thanksgiving 2011. We always made sure we went to KFC at least once a week but usually more. If we had company we always picked up your chicken to serve our guests, they loved it too. I just wanted you to know you have an old. old friend who still goes to your restaurant but now sometimes, my daughter who comes to visit me once a week picks it up for me. This week I am going to get your $40 bucket meal so I can freeze some for me when I have no way to get it. Thank you for all of your years of making such great meals for me and everyone else. God Bless You all, Your friend Shirl

  35. KFC Summer Deal: Free half-gallon of lemonade with every 10-piece meal says:

Good for a limited time only. ‘ When you buy this chicken, there’s lemonade for the pickin’!

    1. Maybe KFC should check their math? says:

The “free lemonade” is certainly NOT free. I have two sets of coupons in front of me right now. One is a 12pc meal with no lemonade deal, and is $23.99. The second is a 12pc meal WITH lemonade, and is $24.99. Both 12pc meals include all of the same sides, the only difference is a “free” half gallon of lemonade.

It’s odd that KFC is charging one dollar more for free lemonade.
