Taco Bell’s new $1 Morning Value Menu.

Taco Bell just launched of a new $1 Morning Value Menu with a choice of 10 $1 breakfast items.

The menu is available at the chain’s roughly 6,000 domestic units nationwide, and it includes several new items.

The brand new breakfast items are:

The Mini Skillet Bowl, a delicious breakfast bowl filled with seasoned breakfast potatoes, scrambled eggs, warm melty cheese and freshly-prepared Pico de Gallo.

The Breakfast Soft Taco, a warm flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of flavorful bacon or sausage and real cheddar cheese.

The Sausage Flatbread Quesadilla, a flatbread filled with a three cheese blend, a sausage, scrambled eggs, grilled to seal in all the flavors.

The new items join exisitng breakfast items, including the Grilled Breakfast Burrito (available with Bacon, Sausage or Fiesta Potato) Hash Brown, Cinnabon Delights 2 Pack and Mountain Dew Kickstart Orange Citrus.

The introduction of the $1 Morning Value Menu shows Taco bell’s emphasis on winning th ebreakfast fast food war. Taco Bell is going after competitors, such as McDonald’s, which introduced all-day breakfast in October 2105.

The  new menu was accompanied by a tongue-in-cheek research study, showing “84 percent of consumers prefer to spend $1 vs. more than $1”. 16 percent of survey respondents surprised everyone in their desire to spend more.
The study also revealed, that “When considering $1 breakfast options, 81 percent say that Americans should be given more choices” and “When thinking about $1 breakfast items, 80 percent say Americans should be given the option to have breakfast with bacon.” The study was conducted by Taco Bell as part of this new promotion.

Wendy’s has recently added a new 4 for $4 Menu promotion, but for a limited time only.
Wendy’s is currently trying out a “4 for $4 Meal” as a nationwide test.

The 4 for $4 Menu includes:

McDonald’s Have Launched an All-Day Breakfast!

In a move to combat Taco Bell’s Breakfast  popularity, McDonald’s have finally launched their rumored all-day breakfast on October 6. 2015.

After receiving tens of thousands of demands for all-day breakfast on social media—and with sales having declined, McDonald’s has capitulated, and the all-day breakfast starts on Tuesday, October 6.

Now McDonald’s customers can order breakfast items past the usual cut-off time of 10:30 a.m.

There are a few “buts”, however.

Only part of the breakfast menu is available all day.

McDonald’s is limiting the kinds of breakfast items available for the entire day. All-day breakfast options vary by location, but the majority of restaurants will have popular items like hot cakes, fruit and yogurt parfait, oatmeal, sausage burritos and hash browns.

No Egg McMuffins in the Southern States.

The biggest surprise over the new McDonald’s all-day breakfast is that there is a division of North and South. McDonalds management have decided that Southerners prefer biscuits over McMuffins, because it was too difficult for all McDonald’s restaurants to serve both all day.

The Southeast’s “Biscuit Belt” stretches from Louisiana east through to Georgia. You can get McMuffins in Florida, though.

NEWS:

Panera Bread has now publicly (May 2015) posted a comprehensive list of all artificial additives that it has removed — or will remove— from its food menu. The list includes more than 150 ingredients — from BHT to maltodextrin to sulfur dioxide.

Panera also now only sells salads with “clean” salad dressings (without artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors and preservatives).  Ultimately Panera plans to drop all artificial additives from its menu.

All meat is heavily seasoned with a 17 spice blend for the steaks themselves. Outback restaurants fry their food in beef tallow and uses real butter and heavy cream in many dishes. Burgers are ground from beef tenderloin. Some menu items are grilled, but steaks are prepared on a griddle using butter. Because they are cooked solely by heat conduction, their surfaces are cooked much more rapidly than their centers.

The Outback menu items vary slightly from region to region: Crawfish appear in some dishes in Southern American locations, as do sweet potatoes, for example. US Eastern locations often feature Maine Lobster tails, while western locations serve Alaskan King Crab legs and cakes.

Outback Gluten Free Menu.

Outback has also added a “light style” low calorie option to the menu. This option is designed to prepare meals under 600 calories by carefully proportioning out sides and preparing the meals without butter and added fats and salt.
