Starbucks, as usual, has a number of tricks up their sleaves for the Christmas holidays.

As their traditional “Red Holiday Cups” return this week, the coffee chain will offer a Buy-One-Get-One-Free promotion on their Christmas drinks for 5 days, starting on Thursday the November 10, 2016 and until the 14th of November. The deal is available every day from 2-5 pm.

At all participating Starbucks coffee shops in the US and Canada, you will get a free drink, of similar or lesser value, when you buy a “Holiday” drink.

You can choose between these drinks:

Gingerbread Latte
Eggnog Latte
Teavana Joy Brewed Tea
Spiced Sweet Cream Nariño 70 Cold Brew.

Starbucks announced the holiday BOGO on the Starbucks News site and on Facebook.

The Starbucks Green Cup Controversy.

Starbucks recently introduced a green cup with a “mosaic of a hundred people drawn in one continuous stroke” featuring on the cup. Unfortunately, many people thought that the green cup had replaced the traditional Red Holiday Cup, and some believed it to be a politically correct ‘war’ on Christmas.

Not so. The Red Holiday Cup is back and the BOGO offer has been rolled out to emphasize that.

This year, the Red Cup designs were created by 13 women from six different countries, including the U.S, Indonesia, Dubai, Canada, Russia and South Korea. Starbucks has for the first time moved away from their 24-year-old one-cup campaign. The Red Cup designs were chosen from over 1,000 customer designs on Instagram.

Burger King gives away Free Whoppers and adds Cheetos Fries

Burger King Adds Their New Cheetos Fries.

On Wednesday the 14th of September, Burger King unleashes their new follow-up to their successful Mac n’ Cheetos item (which basically was deep-fried macaroni and cheese, covered in crumbled Cheetos).

The new fries will be called “Cheetos Chicken Fries”. The fries are made from white meat chicken, but will be covered in a flavored “dust”, that includes mashed up Cheetos. Delicious or nauseating, depending on your taste.

One order of Cheetos Chicken Fries will have around 280 calories and will cost you $2.89 for a nine-piece order.

This adds further to the revamped Burger King menu, after Burger King recently unveiled their new “Whopperito,” The Whopperito is a burger-burrito fusion that include ground beef, tomatoes, onions and pickles in a flour tortilla.

The ‘Egg-Normous Breakfast Burrito’ has also recently been intoduced to the Burger King Breakfast Menu.

New menu items is not the only way, that Burger King is trying to boost their sales this autumn.

They also have a great promotion that hands you a coupon for a free Whopper, when you buy another Whopper. You must download the Burger King mobile app to get the coupon, though.

How the ‘All-You-Can-Eat’ Shrimp Special works:

Red Lobster is now offering five different flavors of shrimp, including two new shrimp items: The Parmesan Peppercorn Shrimp with hand-breaded shrimp, topped with Parmesan, black pepper and Meyer lemon aioli, and the new Garlic Sriracha-Grilled Shrimp with wood-grilled shrimp in Garlic Sriracha sauce.

How it works: Simply pick two kinds of shrimp preparations to start with, and then order additional shrimp items one at a time.

Red Lobster Endless Shrimp prices.

The All-You-Can-Eat shrimp special at Red Lobster is usually priced at $16.99, but prices can vary from location to location. Especially New York, California, Alaska, Hawaii and Canadian restaurants tend to have a slightly higher list price.

Guests are encouraged to add extra sides such as the Fresh Roasted Brussels Sprouts, New Whipped Sweet Potatoes with honey-roasted pecans, or Red Lobster’s Signature Shrimp Cocktail appetizer. The sides cost extra, however, and are not necessary to order, to enjoy the Red Lobster All-You-Can-Eat shrimp special. Salads and Cheedar Bay biscuits are included in the deal, though.

Still, a great deal is to be had, end Red Lobster’s fans are awaiting this deal every year, so make sure you take advantages of it, as the promotion will run for a limited time only.

Tips:

1. If you want your money’s worth of shrimps, then say no to the appetizers. Red Lobster likes nothing more than to fill you up on cheaper Cheddar Bay Biscuits, salads, pasta, french fries and baked potatoes, before you get to the shrimps. That way, there is no more room for shrimp and Red Lobster makes more money. Just say no!

2. Plain grilled shrimp, coconut shrimp and popcorn shrimp are not listed on the official Endless Shrimp menu. But if you ask nicely, you can have it your way. A smile goes a long way, and Red Lobster will accommodate you.

Free Breakfast at Chick-Fil-A.

Chick-fil-A is giving away a free breakfast at all restaurants nationwide in September.

How it works:

You can choose between a free Chick-fil-A chicken biscuit, a three-piece Chick-n-Minis order, or the new Egg White Grill, for free until September 30. You also get a choice of a free drink, dessert, or medium fries.

You must have the Chick-fil-A app to get the free food. Look on your home screen under “available treats”, to find the offer.

To get the free breakfast, you must download the app by September 10, if you don’t alread have it.

This is the second time Chick-fil-A has offered free food nationwide to promote its app, as they also offered free sandwiches in June. I am sure, that they will continue these kind of promotions in the future, so just go ahead and download the app.

The app also has a built-in rewards program that will occasionally offer free food, based on customer preferences. You can then rate the free items afterwards. Those ratings will be factored into the app’s future free-food offers.

The Chick-Fil-A All-You-Can-Eat Nuggets Promotion.

We have been getting a few emails about the All-You-Can-Eat Nuggets special, that people have been hearing about. This story has been going the rounds on social media and deal sites for a while, and it is time that we address it.

So, is it true, that Chick-Fil-A has an All-You-Can-Eat Chicken Nuggets special? No (and Yes). The rumor stems from two promotions run in 2015 by two different Chick-Fil-A restaurants, in Tempe, Arizone and in St. Pete Beach, Florida, and one restaurant running the campaign in 2016.

The accompanying advertising photos has since been spread on the internet repeatedly, and to the point where customers think that the promotion is nationwide and still happening. The deals was for unlimited Nuggets, Unlimited, Unlimited Waffle Fries and Free Refills on Soda for just $12 ($8.99 for Kids).

There has been only one repeat of the promotion in any restaurants in 2016, as far as we know, and that is by the North Druid Hill restaurant who is running this special on September 12th, 2016, for $12.99. These local deals are always wildly popular, but unfortunately very rare.

The “Secret” Chick-Fil-A rewards Club.

Now many customers know this, but Chick-Fil-A actually has been running a secret exclusive loyalty program, or its “A-List” club, since 2013. The program rewards the chain’s VIP customers with perks like free food, discounts, private tours of its restaurants, and special events. But not all locations offer the secret club: Just 1,100 of the more than 2,000 locations participate in the program.

How it works: To enter the Secret Rewards program, you actually have to be be invited by a Chick-fil-A employee to become a member. But fret not, it is not as difficult as it might seem, you simply have to request to become a member at your local restaurant, and you will then be “invited”.

For Chick-Fil-A it is a great way to build brand loyalty among their frequent customers. But they have been talking about bringing more awareness to the Rewards program, so in future it might not be so “secret” after all.

Shake Shack gives away 10000 free burgers on August the 16th.

Shake Shack, the popular New York based burger chain, is opening its 100th restaurant. And to show their customer appreciation, they are by giving free burgers to the first 100 guests at all Shake Shack locations, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 16.

The company have grown quickly from one New York location 12 years ago, to the 100th Shake Shack at Boston Seaport today.

At their five Massachusetts locations, the company will also offer a limited time ‘Coppa’ Burger between Aug. 16 and until the Aug. 21.

Starbucks New $8 Power Lunch Meal.

The famous coffee chain, Starbucks, is all set to meet your lunch hunger needs for just $8. The new combo includes three food items along with a bottle of Ethos water.

There are several options available to choose from:

You can choose any one item from the sandwich, salad and bistro menu, add one snack from the popcorn, pretzels and chips section, and then top it up with a banana or fruit bar.

The Power Lunch Combo is quite a great saver since the items included in it, if bought separately, would cost you 3 to 4 Dollars more. With this new meal box, Starbucks enters the low-budget lunch segment in competition with fast food brands like Wendy’s and McDonald’s.

Wendy’s first introduced a lunch offer in the month of October, which gave customers four items, a cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, fries and a drink at just $4. McDonald’s then introduced a Mc Pick 2 Menu, which was not only available for lunch, but also during breakfast hours. Starbucks is said to have been inspired by these two fast food giants companies, though their package is a bit costlier than the others. However, the Starbucks Power Lunch offers much healthier food choices and a complete meal, unlike the other two. The “That’s It” fruit-bar from Starbucks, for example, contains healthy fruits like apple, strawberry, blueberry, cinnamon, mango, apricot, pear etc. They do not contain any preservatives, added sugar or artificial color.

However, one glaring omission from the Power lunch box is the one item that Starbucks is well-known for – coffee. It would have been great, if the bundle included a cup of coffee instead of the bottle of Ethos water. This is of course a clever strategy adopted by the company, as people are likely to order coffee as an extra, ensuring more business.

The offer is valid for a limited time period (16th-30th of May).

Hooters is all set to celebrate the Memorial Day this year with a special Memorial Day offer, valid on the 30th of May. The company will be giving out free entrees to all veterans and military personnel.

The entrée can be chosen from some a list of exclusive dishes such as Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Salad, Hooters Burger, Traditional Wings (10 pieces) and Boneless Wings (10 pieces). It will come free as complementary, when ordering a beverage from Hooters.

This is a great offer since each of these dishes cost you about $8-9 on the other normal days, so getting these mouth-watering entrees from Hooters for free is worth your while. The offer from Hooter’s on Memorial Day is only applicable for dining in. It is not available for take-away, and it is available at most of the 460 locations. Don’t forget to bring your Veteteran or Military ID card, if you want to take advantage of this offer.

Offers to veteran and active members of the military are nothing unusual. There are special offers and discounts going on every year on the Veteran’s Day (11th November) and on Memorial Day. Starbucks, Krispy Kreme, Friendly’s, Applebee’s, TGI Friday’s and many other food chains also try to make these days special for the veterans and military personnel by offering special discounts on their food and beverage. Some of them even let their family members join in on this offer.

Hooters has offers for the military personnel not only on these special days, but all throughout the year. They give a discount of 20% to military personnel on every Tuesday and 10% discount on the other days. However, the promotional offer on the 30th is a one -day-only offer.

The coupon has a few conditions attached to it, though. For example, you can only use one coupon per visit.
