1. Your shorter cooks thanks ip the trays of food should be more concerned they just throw the food together anyway and throw it up on the take out counter

2. I can no longer afford to eat at Panera’s. When they first opened, they were very reasonable, but prices have increased much faster than other eateries!

5. I love to buy the sourdough rolls; however, have not been able to my last few trips. Only bread bowls or whole loaves. I have tried several locations. Why can’t we buy sourdough rolls anymore??? They are handy for dinner when we have guests or when I travel, I love to buy the rolls to snack on.

6. I am sick, and my husband just left work to pick me up a family size chicken noodle soup….my favorite! When I opened it, it was a complete container of broth with no more than a tablespoon and a half of combined chicken, carrots and noodles . I called the store, and the manager kindly apologized and said that he would replace it, which he did. After looking at the receipt, I noticed we were charged $15.99 plus tax. I am wondering why when the July, 2018 price on the online menu says it is “12.99.

7. Not So Vegan Friendly

   As a vegan I’m often disappointed in the selections available or taste and quality of the offerings. I made the mistake of asking for a sample of the Vegan Lentil Quinoa. “We don’t allow samples.” This was after being told non dairy coffee creamer (almond milk) was an extra charge.

8. I have always loved Panera, but my husband thought it was too pricey for what hear got. I took him yesterday to our new Panera in Valdosta, Ga, and I am happy to say he has changed his mind. He was so pleased with his lunch and the amount of meat (ham) that was on his sandwich. He even brought half of it home for lunch today! Finally he admitted that he is a fan of Panera, now!

9. As a Senior citizen I also agree that prices are way to high for people on a fixed income. The only way I can buy and enjoy Panera’s is that I receive gift cards from family.

11. I have been sick for a few days. My friend surprised me with a large container of chicken noodle soup. It was the best chicken noodle soup I have ever had. I am addicted now. The prices are very high, but I can do it sometimes.

12. I had Panera sandwich and soup a couple of weeks ago and got very sick. So tonight I will be ordering again from Panera. Not fair to condemn if it wasn’t there fault. I will try again, final time.

    Look Out! For lunch, for 5 people = $70 smackers! Whew!

14. My first trip to Panera was wonderful. I had the autumn squash soup in a bread bowl. The second trip was not so good. I ordered for three persons and was shorted the baguettes which all of us love. The third trip I had to choose another soup as they were out of autumn squash. I ordered some type of potato soup which I didn’t like. It had bits of ham in it and tasted very salty. I was surprised as I normally love potato soup. The fourth time I wanted to order the autumn squash soup and was told it was taken off the menu and replaced with something else. In January? Come on people!!! It is cold everywhere until late March. Bad move suits. I can’t even remember what I had it was so unremarkable. You need to rethink that move. Also on the last trip my change was incorrect. I didn’t notice it until I got home and I wasn’t going back for it. To say that I have a “bad taste” in my mouth for Panera would be an understatement. Get going suits!!! You have a mess to clean up in your San Dimas, California store before I will go back even if you do bring back the autumn squash soup. Too many errors and omissions.

17. Our first visit to Gaylord’s Panera. We were both disappointed. Soup was warm at best. My 1/2 Italian sandwich was extremely small and flavorless. Wife had the avocado chipotle chicken. Where was the avocado? All this for $20.00. Not recommended for Seniors unless you have a good pension.

21. 2-18-16 (Thursday) My very first visit, I don’t remember the girls name that helped us, but when she heard it was our first visit, she helped me and my wife with our order. Let me say sorry for the drink I spilled on the table after our delicious meal. I had the New Mediterranean salad, plus chicken and some of your bread, which was great. The wife was also satisfied with her panini chicken and basil and chicken noodle soup. She told me that the sandwich was awesome and the soup as well. I will be returning soon, thanks.

22. I am a retiree. At Panera’s prices, there is no way that I could eat there. Looks like it is for the top 10%.

23. Stopped at local Panera and had great soup last Nov. Stopped again last week. None. It was the squash soup. Very super delicious. Too bad it is seasonal. I’d buy it year round.

26. Are the prices of Panera Bread Cares Community Cafe, the philanthropic arm of the regular Panera Bread, the same? Why are Panera Bread Cares Community Cafes’ suggested donations the same as the regular Panera Bread Cafes? Should it be lower?

    1. The Panera Bread Cares Community Cafes show a suggested donation “price”, which is in line with the general prices of normal Panera Bread Cafes. But in theory you can pay whatever you want. If you are in need and cannot pay for a meal, you can get a free meal. However, most diners pay the normal retail price or more (according to Panera, about 60 percent pay the suggested amount, 20 percent donate more and 20 percent less). It works surprisingly well, actually.

28. Ordered through a drive through Panera on Sawmill Road, either Powell or Dublin, Ohio today. Have always had great food and value at other Paneras so the drive through made it super (had grandkids in car). Ordered a half ham and cheese panini and a small bowl of macaroni and cheese. The person taking the order asked if we wanted this as a you pick 2 as it would be cheaper. Seemed like a bargain. Total bill was 9 plus dollars for a very thin and small half panini (maybe 4 mouthfuls) and a tiny cup of pasta. Not enough to satisfy 1 person for any meal. And didn’t seem much less expensive, if at all. Went back through the window to check if something was missing and was told no, that we actually got a bargain because the cheapest u pick 2 on their menu was 6 plus dollars. Well,that’s all this lunch was worth. Waaaay overpriced. Panera fan? No longer,

    1. I had the same experience. I thought the highest price of the three options included everything. I thought the cashier had made a mistake. I found out, that it just was for the sandwich. Paid $9.55 for a measly half sandwich and what really was a small cup of soup. Very deceptive advertising. Won’t come here again because of this.

29. In select locations, Panera has recently begun installing touch-screen tablets that customers can use to place orders without having to line up when the queues are long. Customers can now also just use smartphones to place orders. The new concept will also include more staff who will bring orders out to tables. Good idea or not? Time will tell.
